The Business Analyst will be the vital link between our Operations, Performance Management, Performance Testing and our business objectives by defining configuration specifications, defining reporting and alerting requirements and performing quality assurance of processes, systems and tools.
A Day in the life will likely include:
Define configuration specifications and business analysis requirements
Perform quality assurance
Define reporting and alerting requirements
Own and develop relationship with partners, working with them to optimize and enhance our integration
Help design, document and maintain system processes
Report on common sources of technical issues or questions and make recommendations to team
Communicate key insights and findings to team
Constantly be on the lookout for ways to improve monitoring, discover issues and deliver better value to the customer
Working closely with Corporate IS to develop specs for communication of data across multiple enterprise level systems; write technical specs for IS for initial implementation followed by continuous improvement initiatives; apply LEAN principles that identify areas for improvement, reduce waste and optimize processes; help with prioritization of improvement initiatives
Use working knowledge of systems to: Create end user training documentation for internal IS and IT systems; map processes; create standard work; lead cross-functional and cross-divisional LEAN events to reduce waste
Leading the validation effort with respect to: negative validation testing, new parts testing, labeling, traceability, costing, inventory, bills of material, etc.
Engage with Technical, Quality, and Operations departments on: creation/input of parts (raw, WIP, finished); capturing of trial data; costing, shipping, and billing
virtual versus physical inventory management match; understand product input and processing requirements; create BOMs (bills of material)
Develop an auditing strategy for our accounting system intended for accuracy and function
Lead the correction of necessary BOMs, as required.
Lead efforts with Customer Segment teams and Customers to standardize manufacturing requirements in terms of labelling, traceability, reporting, notifications, etc.
Sounds Good? What it will take to land this job:
Previous experience in Business/Systems Analysis or Quality Assurance
A degree in IT / Computer Science
Proven experience in eliciting requirements and testing
Experience in analyzing data to draw business-relevant conclusions and in data visualization techniques and tools
Solid experience in writing SQL queries
Experience with Sumologic
Basic knowledge in generating process documentation
Strong written and verbal communication skills including technical writing skill
The successful candidate will have an Associates’ Degree (Bachelor’s Degree preferred) in Computer Information Systems and / or Project Management preferred and 5-10 years’ experience in operations, preferably within the aerospace industry. In addition, qualified candidates will have strong technical writing skills; demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and lead teams without a direct reporting relationship; demonstrated experience in leading and managing change; an understanding and experience with the following processes and systems: enterprise level systems (ERP, Quality Management, and Customer Management); Quality Standards ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001, AS9100; operation processes (quoting, sales orders, manufacturing, shipping/receiving, etc.); regulated industry customer requirements; accounting systems; inventory valuation and costing along with lean manufacturing processes and techniques. The right candidate will possess good project management skills, ability to manage multiple projects, stay organized, and drive projects to completion.
