Software Engineering Manager

We are looking for a Software Engineering Manager that is an innovator and problem solver. You thrive in a fast-paced entrepreneurial environment handling multiple responsibilities, quick and able to think on your feet. You are the one everyone come to when they have a problem they can’t solve, and the one that can take any idea thrown at you by the product people and turn it into a “grown-up’s” software that is fast, reliable and maintainable. You have ample experience leading development teams, and you know how to leverage software to help a growing and dynamic business succeed.

A Day in the Life Will Likely Include:

Managing, supporting and mentoring a cross functional agile team
Reviewing code and providing technical guidance
Participate in architectural designs
Maintaining highest level of code quality and team velocity by predicting potential issues and solving those you didn’t predict
Staying abreast of the latest advances in the following areas
Web applications
Restful API
Complex integration with distributed systems
Integration with AWS services
Working with Product Owners to design and assess new features

Sounds good? What You’ll Need to Land this Job:

Bachelor’s degree in CS/EE (or equivalent experience)
10+ years of Java Development experience
4+ years of Management experience
Working with offshore development teams
Top Java, TypeScript coding proficiency. Angular is an advantage.
Experience with AWS services. Serverless is an advantage
Experience with containerization solutions (Docker, Kubernetes)
DB integration experience – Oracle SQL, Hibernate, myBatis. Dynamo and Aurora – advantage.
Familiarity with:
Application containers – Tomcat, Spring Boot
Testing frameworks – Cucumber, Selenium, Karate
Excellent written, verbal and Nonverbal communication skills
