We are looking for a technical writer and diagram creator to document standard Network Operations Center (NOC) operating processes and procedures based on ITIL best practices. Processes to be documented and diagrammed include: Release Management, Incident Management, Change Management, Problem Management, Configuration Management, Capacity Management, Availability Management, Continuity Management and Security Management. ITIL best practices need to be customized and adapted for Arterra work flows and standard operating procedures. Processes need to be documented as a “How to” with clear step-by-step flow and environment snap shots that aid the explanation. Network diagrams need to be drafted in Drawio with the ability to take complex network environments and present them visually in a clear and accessible way.
A Day in the Life Will Likely Include:
In addition, Standard Service Desk processes need to be documented including notification processes, trouble ticketing requirements, escalation procedures, communication standards, use of knowledge base, and population of knowledge base with known issues and solutions.
Technical writer will be expected to create standard reports for capacity management, availability and performance management. Standard report templates are required for ongoing monthly reports to our clients. Technical writer will also collaborate with technical staff across different departments, analyze, manage, and update existing content, assume ownership of new content, and support the life-cycle of technical documents and diagrams.
Information gathering can be done onsite but work can be done remotely as needed.
